Rescue:
The purpose of rescue is to take in stray, abandoned, surrendered and impounded purebred Brittany's, provide them with foster care, health and temperament screening, often an opportunity for rehabilitation if necessary, assure their health and place them in new homes.
Red Diamond Brittany's recently took part in the effort to place "Gizmo".
A B R is working on a nationwide transportation system, dubbed the Brittany Express, to help transport Brittany's
from shelters to foster homes, and from foster homes of the new adoptive homes. After a new home was found for Gizmo in Canada, he was transported in stages from Burlington to Minneapolis/St. Paul. From there to the North Dakota/Canadian border and on to Regina Beach with Ed Rossie, where he stayed for the weekend.
Ed then met Jim and I at Cutknife, Saskatchewan and brought Gizmo to our home near Millet, Alberta.
Gizmo spent 2 1/2 weeks with us before going to his new permanent home.
He was a very gently boy with a kind heart
just like all the other Brittany's we know!!
